On-site Annual Screenings

Annual on-site health screenings by Optima Health nurses will give employees a convenient way to track their health and “know their numbers” to complete a Personal Health Assessment. The assessment provides a confidential report that can help identify health risks and promote/incentivize the right programs.

For an Optima Health, fully-insured group with 20 or more employees registered for the screening event, our nurses will check blood pressure, body mass index, and cholesterol at no added cost. During each mini-consultation, the Optima Health nurse will encourage the employee to use the screening results to complete a Health Risk Assessment, receive a personalized wellness plan and then take steps to better health using our health coaches.

MyLife MyPlan with Health Coaching

Optima Health offers health coaching for healthy and at-risk populations. We want to help members get started and stay motivated as they adopt healthier behaviors and overcome stress, high cholesterol and blood pressure, poor nutrition, and a lack of physical activity.

As part of MyLife MyPlan, health coaches provide valuable information to motivate members to make better decisions.

Employee Assistance Program

All of our large group health insurance plans include the Optima Health Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Through free, face-to-face counseling visits with local mental health professionals, our members can better manage work and life issues so they can stay focused and productive. All members of the employee’s household are also covered by the EAP, even if these family members are not enrolled in Optima Health.

As the employer, you can choose a “buy-out” (to cover employees not on the health plan) or a “buy up” (more visits, riders) to enhance the core benefits.
