COVID-19 Coverage Extension May 31
Thank you for choosing Optima Health. We hope you are enjoying the start of the spring season. It has now been a year since the pandemic began in the United States and we want to continue putting our members first. We previously announced that we would extend COVID-19 coverage for Optima Health members through April 30. We are now extending COVID-19 coverage through May 31, 20211 for the following:
- all telehealth visits, including telephone only, with any in-network care provider
- any necessary in-network or emergent out-of-network treatment of COVID-19
Through the duration of the public health emergency:
- all covered out-of-pocket member costs associated with COVID-19 diagnostic testing, as deemed appropriate by the ordering provider2.
As always, safety is a top priority. To help protect themselves and those around them, we encourage members to pre-register for the vaccine so they can receive notification for when they become eligible to receive the vaccine. To be added to the waiting list, members can register at vdh.virginia.gov/covid-19-vaccine or by calling 1-877-275-8343.
