Optima Health has partnered with Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS) to create a national network. Now, Optima Plus members can use in-network benefits (lower out-of-pocket costs) for routine care when traveling out of the Optima Health service area.
If you are seeking care within Optima Health's service area (the green areas shown on the map below), please be sure to search for a provider using Optima Health's "Find a Doctor" tool and do not continue to the PHCS Provider Web site.
Please do not search for a PHCS Provider unless you are seeking care outside of Optima Health's service area (the purple areas shown on the map below).

If you reside in the Optima Health service area, but are traveling outside of the service area, choose the "PHCS Healthy Directions" network to locate a provider.
If you reside outside of the Optima Health service area, choose the PHCS network to locate a participating provider closest to you.

Important points to remember:
- You must be a covered Optima PPO plan member.
- You must visit a participating PHCS provider for care.
- When you arrive at your appointment, show your healthcare provider your Optima Health member ID card.
- The in-network benefit only applies to PPO members who are traveling. PPO members need to visit Optima PPO participating providers while in the health plan's service area. Locate an Optima Health provider.
- Optima PPO members must still follow the procedures outlined in member materials regarding care to ensure coverage.
Optima Vantage and Optima POS members can also use the PHCS network when an urgent or emergent healthcare need arises while traveling outside of the service area.
