Welcome to 2010 with Optima Medicare! We are looking forward to this selling season, bringing you (and your clients) a range of MA and MA-PD products designed to fit a variety of needs. And we are proud to keep our popular $0 premium plans available.
Based on the interim final compensation guidance from CMS, we chose to follow the “market rate” approach to setting our commission schedule, as we believe this most fairly represents the growth of Medicare Advantage products in our service area over the past several years. We will pay the same rate for all four of our plan designs, recognizing that you will assist your clients in picking the plan that best meets their needs. As you review the commission schedule, please remember that CMS is requiring that all enrollees in 2010 will be paid at the “renewal” level for five years. CMS has stated that they will report to us periodically which enrollees will qualify for “initial” commission in 2010. For those enrollees, we will pay you the additional commission payable for initial enrollees.
As always, we have a range of tools available for you through this broker site, as well as the full range of product information available on the Optima Health Web site: www.OptimaHealth.com. Or you can call the Medicare Sales Manager, Kathy McVey, at 757-552-7302.
