Virginia Beach, VA – December 13, 2007 -- Optima Health has named Kathy McVey as its new Medicare sales manager.

McVey has been employed by Sentara Healthcare, the parent company of Optima Health, for nearly 20 years. Her experience has been in customer service, marketing and sales.

For the past 11 years, she served as the manager of 1-800-SENTARA. There, she was responsible for the day-to-day management of Sentara’s customer service call center which handles physician referrals, registration for classes, events and health screenings, and provides general information about Sentara’s programs and health services. Previously, she served as an account executive with Optima Health.

In her new role, McVey is responsible for sales, broker and agent relationship management and customer engagement for the Medicare Advantage products offered by Optima Health.

Optima Health offers four comprehensive Medicare Advantage Plan choices, including options to combine Medicare health coverage and prescription drug coverage in one simple, affordable plan. They also offer benefits in addition to basic Medicare benefits, such as preventative care, vision, dental, and hearing aid discounts, wellness programs and disease management.
